A partir de USD 600

YOU IMAGINE!!! We go very close to the coast by boat, at low speed, looking for and discovering marine animals between whales and dolphins for hours. If you like nature, love the ocean, try to do something for a change, you want to help to know more about it.

Coastal Expeditions
is a dedicated group of biologists who use boats to research whales and dolphins. Travel with researchers, 100 km, for 4 to 6 hours close to the Ecuadorian coast. Discover the coastal towns, islands, and islets through various protected areas, discover marine animals, and help us search for the threatened population of coastal bottlenose dolphins.

This trip is private for you and your family or friends. The cost is per boat. Includes a delicious lunch. There is a 70% chance that we will encounter whales, sea lions, whale sharks, and even dolphins. But we offer you that the wonderful coastal scenery will be exciting.

We only do this research five days each month. Take advantage and book your best date.

DID YOU KNOW:

  • Machalilla National Park is the most important breeding area for humpback whales in Latinoamerica. Humpback whales have only one calf every two years. This low reproductive rate makes the species very susceptible to human impacts like entanglement in fishing gear, marine traffic, and pollution.
  • Pacific Whale Foundation (PWF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting whales and other marine life through research, education, and conservation.
  • The PWF researchers have studied whales and dolphins throughout the Pacific for over 30 years and currently conduct projects in Hawaii, Australia, Chile, and Ecuador. You can join us on a research trip next to Isla de La Plata and learn more about bioacoustics, behavior, and photo identification of humpback whales.
  • Our boats provide a great platform to ensure more intimate encounters with marine life and awesome photography opportunities.
  • Small groups and personal attention by our highly qualified crew, allow for individual discussions about the lives of whales and the local environment as well as updated information about their study and conservation in Ecuador.
  • Proceeds from this tour support local marine life research and conservation programs.
FREQUENT QUESTIONS:
  • How much do children pay? Only children under 2 years old are free. In the National Park, there is a daily income quota and a child is considered the same as an adult. For a discount, the number of people could be considered.
  • Where do they come from? Puerto Lopez, Manabi
  • Do you operate throughout the year? We operate every day, including holidays.
  • How can we book the service? On our page, PayPal, or you can write to us by WhatsApp, we answer right away at +593995464860
