Frailes Beach and Agua Blanca are part of the tropical dry forest of Machalilla National Park. The tree known as Palo Santo is highly present in the dry forest. Los Frailes Beach has three consecutive state nature preserves. Each beach has a different color of sand. From black sand to white sand beaches.
The community of Agua Blanca is an archaeological site where you can learn the ‘insitu’ pre-Columbian history, you can see funerary urns and ceramics which are over hundreds of years old. Finally we visit the sacred lake sulfhur appreciated for its healing and medicinal properties.

12:15 Visit the archaeological museum, ruins and swimming pool of volcanic origin sulfur water.

IN LOS FRAILES BEACH
Los Frailes Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Ecuador. It is a series of three beaches in a crescent shape with cliffs on each side and beautiful clear water. Walk for the nature trail to visit the different beaches and in the high view point you could discover the best landscapes in Machalilla National Park.
IN AGUA BLANCA COMMUNITY
Agua Blanca is a privileged community also within the borders of the park that claims the status of the last Indian capital. There is an interesting archaeological museum with artifacts from pre-Incan times and a sulphur pool that many believe has healing properties. Visit the archaeological museum, ruins, tracking in the dry forest and swimming in the sulpher lagoon. You could get a massage for extra money.
